Y5/6 children help to free a stuck hedgehog! Wednesday, 6th July 2016

Last Wednesday, some of our Year 5/6 children alerted staff to the unfortunate position a hedgehog had got itself into.

Unfortunately it had got wedged in the fence between the school and pre-school and really couldn't move!

We called the RSPCA Wildlife Centre in East Winch and were very relieved when they arrived shortly after to free the poor hedgehog.  It was very dehydrated and poorly from this ordeal and our children helped to save its life. It is currently being looked after at the wildlife centre and when back to full health will be returned to the wild.
