North Wootton is committed to providing a secure environment for pupils, where children feel safe and are kept safe. All adults in our school recognise that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility irrespective of the role they undertake or whether their role has direct contact or responsibility for children or not.

James Grimsby is our Designated Safeguarding Lead and the PREVENT point of contact.

The aim of the PREVENT Duty is to identify individuals at risk of being drawn into extremism, assess the nature and extent of that risk and develop the most appropriate support for the individuals concerned.

The Academy Council fully accepts the school's responsibility to implement the Prevent Duty.
